Using a Landing Page

In this post I am going to explain how to use a landing page for your Bonanzle Booth or other ecommerce website.

It has been proven that a potential customer usually does not make a purchase on their first visit. It sometimes takes several visits before they will finally commit to making a purchase.

Having a good landing page with an email opt-in is very important. It will give you a means of staying in contact with a potential customer thus building a relationship with that person.

The purpose of a landing page is for your visitor to see an opportunity to opt-in for your freebie, whether it be your newsletter or maybe a free ebook related to your site and then only a link directing them to your site. Your landing page should not have any other advertising or links leading away from your site.

To set up your landing page you will need a domain name and ecomomy hosting and a good autoresponder service.

I personally use godaddy.com for the greatest part of my domains and hosting. I have been a customer for over 5 years and have never had a problem with their service.

As for an autoresponder I use Norabots.com. It is less than $10.00 mo. and has unlimited autoresponders. Norabots.com is not as expensive as the others but it works just as well.

Starting Your Opt-in List

An interested visitor who has been browsing through your Bonanzle Booth or website and has finally found what she has been searching for and is about to make a purchase. Then all of a sudden her spouse calls out or maybe the doorbell or telephone rings!

In the blink of an eye, your visitor exits your site, and your sale is dust - unless you have had the foresight to utilize an autoresponder that has captured her email address.

If you have installed an autoresponder, you can then follow-up with her, and in all probability, make the sale and possibly future sales.

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email.

Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer.

Set up your autoresponder on your new landing page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers, discounts, and upcoming bonanza's. You can also give away free ebooks or other materials that might be of interest to your potential customer.

This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already interested in the type of items you are promoting.

There are a number of autoresponders you can use. Try getresponse.com, aweber.com or norabots.com. These are very effective autoresponder services.

Then sign-up for your chosen autoresponder. Once you do, you will receive simple instructions as to how to set it up and transfer your text.

Now you are ready to start your own opt-in list!

Increasing Bonanzle Sales

So you have your new booth on Bonanzle all stocked and you are ready to start making money!

Sounds to good to be true doesn't it. Well the truth is "It Is."

There are several things you can and will need to do to make your Bonanzle Booth (or affiliate program)a success.

I would like to share a few tricks that I have learned over the past few years of being an online marketer and affiliate.

In today's post I will show you a very easy and inexpensive way of getting more click thrus to your booth by having your own domain name.

Having your own domain name makes your link look more professional.

Which looks more professional to you "Bonanzle.com/booths/yourbooth" or "YourBooth.com"?

I guarantee you that more shoppers will click on the latter just because it looks more professional.

I personally use domains from godaddy.com . With godaddy is very simple to register a domain name and forward and mask the domain to your booth or affiliate program.

By masking your domain name it enables you to add a title, description and keywords to the domain name thus making your domain search engine friendly.

Another benefit of using a godaddy.com domain is that when your link is visited your customer will see your domain name in the address bar, not the long affiliate code.

Give this one little trick a try and I guarantee you will enjoy a greater number of click thrus to your site!

Where and What to Sell

Finding the right items cheaply enough to sell online for a good profit can be very difficult at times. In this post I am going to share a few of the sources I have used and that I am using now.

(1) The first being garage sales. The chances are you've gone most of your life seeing ads for these and ignoring them. Start going to as many as you can. You won't find good things at every one, but when you find one person with good stuff, make them an offer for the lot – they'll be so happy about it that you can get a real bargain.

(2) Markets. If your area has a market, then go there and look around for anything good. You could buy it there if it's cheap enough, or try to make friends with the market traders and find out who their suppliers are.

(3) Pawn shops. Pawn shops don't usually know what to do with the junk they accumulate.Generally you can make them an offer and they will be happy to move it off their shelves.

(3) Real auctions. Go to a real auction, as the chances are that you can resell things for alot more than they will sell them for since you will have a far greater market to offer the items to.

(4) Your local newspapers. Place an ad in the local paper that reads “I pay cash for [your item type]”, with your phone number. If you can afford it, make it a big display ad, so it'll be noticed.

(5) Friends and Family. Ask your friends and family if they have any unwanted items that relate to the market you are selling to. Ask them to spread the word around!

Before you start spending your funds stocking your online store it is imperative that you determine what shoppers are searching for and how much competion there is for that specific market. This one task can mean the difference in success or failure.

An excellent venue for finding this critical information is the auction site, eBay.com.

eBay.com is loaded with great marketing information if you know where to find it. One of the most over looked information source is the "Want it Now" section. These are buyers who are searching for an item and are ready to buy. Sorting through this mountain of information can be very time consuming.

I have located this new software that will save you an enormous amout of time by doing the complete search for you. It is called Auction Yen. You will be truly amazed at the marketing information you will uncover.

Featured Booth

It might seem kind of strange for a man but I really enjoy window shopping on Bonanzle. I don't much care for it in the real world tho.

Today while I was out surfing I came across a very nice booth called "Memory Collector". It was like I took a 40 year step back in time. I have always been partial to vintage and retro items.

The items in the booth are priced right and the owner has a 100% positive feedback.

If you are into collecting vintage decor you will definitely need to check this booth out. You won't be disappointed.

Visit the booth here at www.bonanzle.com/booths/memorycollector
